On October 14th, artist Park Seo-Bo passed away. Born in 1931, as a seminal figure of Korean contemporary art and the pioneer of the Dansaekhwa movement, he drove the course of modern Korean art. Until the end of his life, he worked with an ardent passion for art.
Johyun Gallery first established a relationship with Park Seo-Bo in 1991 with his inaugural solo exhibition and since then has organised a total of 14 exhibitions for him. This exhibition, which was initially planned to run from August 31st to November 12th, was the first in Korea to showcase Park Seo-Bo's new painting techniques and digital approach. However, due to the outpouring of tributes and commemorations, the exhibition has been extended until December 3rd.

지난 10월 14일, 박서보 작가는 영면에 들었습니다. 1931년에 태어나 한국 미술의 전위적 흐름을 이끌며 단색화의 기수로 한국 현대미술의 흐름을 주도해온 박서보는 생의 마지막까지 예술에 대한 뜨거운 열정으로 작업했습니다.
조현화랑은 1991년 박서보 작가의 첫 개인전으로 인연을 맺은 후 총 14번 전시를 기획해왔습니다. 국내 최초로 박서보 작가의 신작 묘법 및 디지털 묘법을 선보이는 이번 전시는 8월 31일부터 11월 12일까지 진행 예정이었으나, 유작전의 추모물결이 이어지면서 12월 3일까지 연장됩니다.
